This mug is hand-painted with a playful abstract pattern called ‘Barcelona' range, inspired by the free and joyful work of Miro and Gaudi. Each one is a little unique! My pottery is handcrafted in my garden studio in Sussex, England.
These mugs are made with an iron rich stoneware clay, the little flecks of iron within the body of the clay creates a lovely effect on the surface of the piece.
Each piece is hand thrown on a pottery wheel and then left to dry a little, the underside is then trimmed and tidied. It is then left to dry out and ready for it's first firing. Once fired it is then dipped in glaze, the mugs are hand-painted. Then the pottery is then ready for it's final firing in the kiln.

This range is made from iron rich stoneware clay. All my pottery is food-safe, hard-wearing and suitable for microwaves and dishwashers.
Each piece is handmade so there may be slight variation in size and colour and there may be very minor imperfections.
